The dog on the tuckerbox - Hooray!
Driving between Adelaide and Canberra recently, I was fortunate to be able to visit an Australian icon called the dog on the tuckerbox "...Nine miles from Gundagai". It is possibly the most incredible thing I have ever seen. I have decided to share the magic that is the dog on the tuckerbox with everyone.
Here's a picture, what do you think guys? fantastic isn't it.

If you think that's incredible, have a look in Debsie's pants one day.. I've never seen ANYTHING like that!

Geez Boris, thsi is twice in two posts. Want me to give you some lessons?
"Please turn to chapter two of learning to read and write english for foreigners.."
the story goes that an unlucky teamster got bogged in five mile creek. on contemplating the retardedness of the situation his temper ran short when 'the dog shat on the tucker-box/ Five miles from Gundagai'. Salesman and balladeer Jack Moses wrote a cleaned-up version in the 1920s in which the dog sits on and guards the tuckerbox. For unknown reasons he called it 'Nine Miles from Gundagai'
How does one become a 'teamster'?
hehe nice story telling Fist....um...thats all I really wanted to contribute. Just thought I'd add to this exciting convo and keep the dream alive.
